Tala Game Reserve

The 3000 hectare safari park is home to a number of antelope, like Eland, Kudu, Blesbok, Nyala and Wildebeest, as well as Hippo and Rhino. Giraffe are also park residents as are Zebra, Imapala, Warthog and Black Backed Jackal.

For those who enjoy the sight of our feathered friends Tala Game Reserve has recorded over 380 bird species, including the beautiful and majestic African Fish Eagle! Also sharing the limelight are Kingfishers, Cormorants and Darters.

Tala Game Reserve has a picnic ground situated within the park where visitors can stop to stretch their legs and enjoy a picnic lunch under the Acacia trees. Since the picnic area is not fenced off, it’s not unusual to have a curious Giraffe or Zebra stroll past the picnic tables!

Tala Game Reserve has a number of accommodation options, from the rustic rondavels to the more luxurious chalets. A restaurant is available at the main lodge for those that do not want to self-cater.
