Overnight Safari Tour from Durban

We’ve been so fortunate to be busy over the last few months, so much so that just finding the time to update the blog can be a little difficult. I had only just finished my recent overnight safari tour to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve when I got a last minute request to conduct another overnight tour. Of course I said yes right away since I love to show off KZN, and so with a pretty quick turn around, I picked up my clients from their Umhlanga Protea Hotel and we headed off on our overnight safari tour from Durban.

Hluhluwe Imfolozi Overnight Safari Tour

i was asked my my most recent clients what animals I considered a favorite in the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve. Right away I though about Elephants, Lions, Wild Dog etc, but too be honest, I really don’t have any favorites. I find that whatever animal we see next, becomes my favorite, whether Impala, Rhino, Waterbuck; for me it doesn’t really matter, I guess it’s just the thought that we get to see the animals on our Hluhluwe Imfolozi Overnight Safari Tour.

Durban Tours and Safaris

The last few months have been non-stop with tours. It’s the season for cruise ships so I’ve been running a number of Durban Day Tours and of course Safari’s. It’s so much fun, and I do enjoy my time with clients. We here in Durban have such an interesting city, and too think we’re no further than 45min away from wildlife preserves in all directions must make us pretty unique.

Hluhluwe Imfolozi Full Day Safari Tour – 14 Aug 2014

After an early pickup at 6:30am, we left the Maharani Hotel in Durban, and settled in for the 2,5 hour drive along the north coast to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve. Along the way I chatted to my guests about the history of South Africa and in particular Durban, as well as touched on such subjects as the Anglo Zulu war, the Boers and of course the Zulu King, Shaka; this helped the time fly by on our Hluhluwe Imfolozi Full Day Safari Tour.
