I haven’t had much of a chance to update our blog over the last few weeks but that’s because we’ve been pretty busy showing visitors around the best province of South Africa… KwaZulu-Natal. It’s so fantastic to see how popular KwaZulu-Natal has become, particularly the city of Durban. Of course with more and more people visiting our sunny shores, the question we get asked most of all are “what days tours are available in and around Durban?“.
Durban Day Tour
A popular tour (and once we do very often) is a tour of the city of Durban. We cover a lot of ground here, visiting the Durban City Hall and Post Office building, the BAT center, Victoria Market and of course the Victoria Street Market. We also stop for lunch and enjoy a “bunny chow” (delicious!).
Safari Day Tour
Visiting South Africa wouldn’t be complete without viewing some African animals in their natural enviroment. We’re fortunate here in Durban to have a number of Big-5 game parks within just a few hours drive of the city. A visit to Tala Game Reserve, or Hlulhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is a “must-do” on any itinerary.
Cultural Day Tours
KwaZulu-Natal has something that just can’t be found in the rest of the country, and that’s the proud Zulu nation! Today there are a number of Zulu culture places to visit, Shakaland for one and PheZulu Safari park for another.
Iconic Day Tours
We also have a number of other day tours on offer, including a visit to the Inanda Freedom Route where Mahatma Gandhi, Oliver Thambo and Nelsom Mandela all visited. There’s the battlefields route where Lord Chelmsford felt the full might of Cetswayo’s Zulu Impi’s at Isandlwana and last but certainly not least, there’s the Drakensberg Mountain range, a place of unforgettable beauty.
