Country and Coastal Touring is a family sized business that strives at it’s core to offer you the best possible holiday experience we can. There’s loads of advantages to being small, it means we can offer a level of personal service that’s often missing on those bigger coach tours, it also means we’re flexible and able to alter tours to accommodate you. Being small also means we go that extra mile to offer you the best rates we can.
I’ve been fascinated by Durban city ever since I read the book “Washing of the Spears” by Donald R. Morriswhile in my teens. The book explored the early history of KwaZulu-Natal and it’s people. To me it was very exciting to be able to visit the very same places mentioned in the book, places like Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift, Ulundi and the “Ultimatum Tree” and many more. For me it was a very natural progression to go from enthusiast to cultural guide. Later on, I caught the “bush” bug and found myself feeling the same way about the “bush” as I do about my wonderful city. So it was no surprise to the people who know me that I began wildlife guiding as well. My mission is simple, to give my clients the best holiday experience I can!
With a love for the bush and all it contains (from itsy-bitsy crawly things to the big cats and everything in between), as well as indepth interest in conservation, Charlie is definitly the “go-to-guy”! As a qualified and registered tour guide and operator, he’s just the guy you want around when trying to track down the “big-5”. Charles has been traveling to the big park his whole life and is just at home in Kruger National Park as he is in Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve.
Charles has also been voted chairman of the “1000 Hills Tourism Committee”.
